I haven’t been enthused about the retail compilation of the Sega 3D Classics games, because it’s not comprehensive (and because it’s Japan-only as of right now), but this boxart by Pokemon artist Ken Sugimori is bringing me around. I want to have this to look at now and then. I guess I can bookmark this post.
Both Majima and Kiryu have 3 fighting styles in this game.
This is a fighting style Kiryu sort of picked up himself from all his fighting experience. Has all the basic attacks - punching, kicking, throwing, as well as counter attacks. This is basically an older, less refined version of Kiryu’s fighting style from the other games.
Well, this is basically Kiryu’s “HULK SMASH” mode. He can use all kinds of weapons and even throw around enemies as weapons. He unleashes powerful unarmed attacks and powerful grapple attacks. I guess you could say this is like Saejima’s fighting style.
Kiryu’s speed mode. Fast attack combos and swaying ability. This seems like Akiyama’s fighting style, but with more focus on punching than kicking.
Street Fight Master Style
Style used by the young Majima. Features attacks in all directions and some awesome kicking techniques. The basic style for Majima in this game, like Kiryu’s Thug Style.
A fighting style using a baseball bat. Unleashes powerful attacks which break an opponent’s guard. This is Majima’s power style, like Kiryu’s Destruction Style.
Gangnam Style Dancer Style
A breakdancing style of fighting. Fast combo attacks. Also, after a spinning attack you can perform a signature pose and then hit enemies with big damage using your hidden power. This is Majima’s speed style, like Kiryu’s Rush Style.
